The Perfect Hangover Cure

A small bottle of liquid gold: the drink that promises to prevent a hangover.

Recently released on sale in the UK, this drink claims to help that sinking feeling when you wake up and realise you drank too much the night before.

According to their website, Ohayo is designed to be drunk just before you go to sleep. This drink will then rehydrate you, reducing the following morning’s hangover symptoms of a dry mouth and a headache.

It contains a special blend of vitamins such as vitamin B, magnesium and potassium, electrolytes and milk thistle which will eliminate toxins and replace essential nutrients.

It promises a 100 percent success rate based on their November 2013 trial, where all of the participants indicated they felt better than anticipated the following morning.

The product was created by entrepreneurs Sanam Petri and Douglas Wolfson, who told the Drinks Business; “We started off playing around with the formula, making batches for ourselves and our friends, but when everyone we knew started begging us for more, we thought it made sense to share it with the wider public. It always helps, without fail”.

The 150ml bottles cost £3 each, and are available to buy in a three, six or twelve pack.

Ohayo does state that it is not a substitute for responsible drinking, nor will it prevent intoxication or reduce blood/alcohol levels. It is not intended to prevent, treat or cure any disease or medical condition.

With a slogan of “Drink tonight. Feel good tomorrow”, Ohayo is the latest in a long list of supposed hangover cures. What is your best hangover cure? Let us know in the comment section below.
